As a Dorset wedding photographer I’m able to capture your wedding photographs from on the pier itself with the sea and Old Harry Rocks as the backdrop. I’m also able to take you to the beach for your photography as there are ideal locations within a short walk of where the Pier is situated in Swanage. I hope you can get a feel from my photographs of the Pier and Swanage itself what a fantastic backdrop this will definitely make for your photographs of yourselves and any group photographs you may require of your guests. It is also worth giving careful consideration to where you may be thinking of having your Wedding Breakfast. From a photographer’s perspective, it is better to have plenty of available options for photographs should the weather not be suitable for photographs on the Pier. It is always better to have a number of options to provide a variety for your wedding album photographs.
It is a truly superb example of a classic Victorian Pier with a civil ceremony license for a Swanage Pier Wedding. I hope my photographs here of the Pier and of Swanage give you an idea of the backdrop I’m referring to for your wedding photographs.
There are many places for your guests to stay close by if you are attending a Swanage Pier Wedding. There are numerous hotels such as The Pines Hotel or The Grand Hotel and smaller hotels along with a vast choice of B&Bs in Swanage itself. Alternatively, you are just nine miles from Wareham with the famous but very elegant Priory Hotel or The Bear in Wareham.
If you’re looking for somewhere with a little different to the Victorian seaside town of Swanage, there are many hotels in Bournemouth, Poole and the Sandbanks area such as the Sandbanks Hotel itself. There is also a very popular Travelodge in Poole within a short walking distance of the very busy Poole Quay that boasts many fine restaurants and pubs.
If you plan on staying in the Poole or Bournemouth direction, you would have the options of using the Sandbanks Ferry and driving through Studland to Swanage or taking the longer drive round from Poole and onto the very beautiful Saxon town of Wareham with it’s famous Saxon Walls around the town itself. In terms of parking, there is parking on the Pier itself or there is very large Pay and Display car park which is at the back of the Prince Albert Gardens but still very close to attend a Swanage Pier Wedding Should you decide to stay just a few miles out and take in Corfe Castle whilst visiting Swanage then at Mortons Manor in Corfe is very popular for accommodation.
